Integrated and interactive 4D system for archaeological stratigraphy

Abstract The digitization of some the processes carried out in an archaeological excavation is changing way working at site. Today, new technologies coexist with traditional methodologies. study stratigraphy can combine drawings profiles and plans, Harris Matrix diagram, as well digitized files that perform a complete record stratigraphic sequence. However, this information usually unaggregated from rest system makes up record. In paper, we present integrated software tool associated methodology to record, store, visualize analyze 3D implementation uses spatial databases store heterogeneous nature game engines for visualization interaction information. During process, strata are scanned using Tof technology, which available many smartphones. resulting model stratum, once uploaded system, allows us sequence incorporating findings into their original arrangement. Some additional tools, such scrollbar, help temporal analysis result 4D interactive tool, together Matrix, complements facilitates work archaeologists.
